Oliver Martin Fischer

Oliver Martin Fischer is a principal scientist working in the therapeutic area of endocrinology, metabolism and reproductive health within Bayer pharmaceuticals research. He is heading a research lab as well as being responsible for collaborations within the therapeutic area. His main focus are women’s health and gynecological diseases including endometriosis, uterine fibroids and PCOS. He has been leading several preclinical research programs up to clinical development and served as preclinical expert on different clinical development programs.
Before joining Bayer in 2006, Oliver Fischer worked as a Postdoc at Pfizer, Sandwich, UK, in the therapeutic area Urology. Trained as chemist with a focus on biochemistry, Oliver Fischer did his PhD at the Max-Planck-Institute for Biochemistry in Martinsried near Munich.
